Here's a picture of my '70... Still needs quite a bit of work, but the hard stuff is done ( I hope)...

I have had more than 15 Chevelles (and Elcos), but EVERY one has been a '66, until I nought this '70 to play with... Now I am actually starting to like the '70 more...

Its got a Motown 427 small block, TH400 trans and an Alston Fab9 rearend. Nice solid California car. Some might say I "neutered" the car when I swapped on an 800 cfm Edelbrock carb for the Double pumper, and a Summit $89 HEI for the mallory race setup, but it still runs low 12's EXACTLY the way i drive it around town; 17" drag radials, lowered suspension, a mixture of 89 and 91 octane pump gas, and functional factory A/C...

It was supposed to be a "temporary" budget cruiser, something to play with while I rebuilt my '66. But its become the primary focus of my attention (and money)... more "handling" pieces going in real soon...

Here's a picture of my '66 SS L78 hardtop... I bought this in January 1985, and it quit running in October 1985... Many Chevelles have come and gone, but this one just stays here... SOMEDAY I'll actually do something to it...

To see what it SHOULD look like, just take a look at Seb's
Ahhh, its only a matter of time...

Hey, your name looks familiar.

I'm not sure if I ever saw pics after you painted the '70, looks GREAT!

If your 70 still needs a lot of work mine needs a complete overhaul. Glad to have you here, sounds like you have a lot of experience to share.

Yeah, still lots to do... Just fresh paint in the picture (look closely at the pict and you can see no door handle- still that way 7+ months later)...

Derek, Hope you don't mind, but I put you in the "referred by" for this new site (You had the link over on that other site)
