Default My son's Chevelle

In another thread a question was asked about what color to paint a block and I mentioned my son painted his purple and also said the boy ain't right....well tonight he, his wife and children came over to take a dip in the pool and he drove his Chevelle over. I thought it would be a good time to snap a picture of his plum crazy purple with lime green racing stripes 69 Malibu.

Now I have to give him a lot of credit he bought this car in 2000 and did a frame off himself including building the motor as well as all bodywork and paint. We razed the daylights out of him for his color choice (which really isn't bad, but we like to tease) turns out when he met his future wife she fell in love with not only my son but his purple Chevelle....turns out her favorite color is Purple.

Guess he knew what he was doing all along.

Thanks for looking.

May not be my choice of color, but glad to see he took the time redo his Chevelle. Looks like he followed you in his interest in Chevelles, like father like Son. I think one of the best thing a father can have is when his son honors him by following him in his footsteps.

I am doubly lucky then, my other son wanted a 68-72 Nova, but a 1979 Z-28 Camaro popped up for sale with 42,000 original miles and in real nice condition for $1500.00 so he bought it, but since this isn't a Camaro forum, I'll not post pics of it.

Purple and green would not be my first color choice but I have to admit it's a nice looking car. He did a really good job.
