Default Shifter Question

I have a 64 Chevelle SS. I have the Chrome center counsol and a stock shifter. I am wanting to put in a ratchet shifter and keep the stock center counsol. Has anyone done this? And do you have pics? And a list of what parts you used?

Thanks

Pretty sure I have seen stock consoles with B&M shifters in them.

And I've seen some at shows that had Lokar shifters in them with just a little modification with stock consoles. Most were running 200/700R4 and they looked real slick. I have one in my Camino but I'm running the complete kit including the boot, etc.
