Well... I gained ten pounds over the holidays. I put myself on a diet immediately. I'm not about to let myself go and need to buy bigger clothes.

I feel your pain. I did make smarter choices but every holiday I make cookies and give them as gifts with this year being no exception. Only problem is that we had cookies in our home and tempting all of us. Then when the holidays were over I started back on my juicing only to have some sad moments that have been hard to concentrate on eating healthy.

But I am going to do it. I have to get back on track and keep up with my progress so far. Maybe I haven't lost as much as I wanted to but I have still lost and that is the goal !

Any updates Nancy?

I went on the paleo diet August 1st, dropped five pounds in 8 days. I am pretty much where I want/need to be weight wise. Now I need to get a good exercise routine in the mix. The diet says up to three cheat meals per week, I decided to go 30 days without... 14 days to go. Then I will most likely do one a week instead of three.

My update is that I have not been on the scale in a while. You would think that the summertime would be the easiest time to lose weight. Well it's not. Being busy and not having the time to prepare heathier meals has been hard. I am still doing my juicing in the morning as much as possible. And like grumpy says we are getting back on track.

I will say that I am proud that I am always aware of what I am eating and am making healthier choices everyday.

Thumbs up

Glad to hear that you are still on track. I dropped five more pounds. I "think" I have finally bottomed out. I didn't have much weight to lose. I have had to tighten my belt an additional loop to keep my pants from falling down. I have not been this light in a long time, ten or so years.

After today, one more day left to hit my 30 day mark. Then, I have decided to eat this way Sunday - Friday. And pig out on Saturdays. Some research I have done shows that the carbs I'll consume Saturday will help me recover from the week and have energy going into the next. Cannot wait, going to have pizza one week from today.

The holidays were not kind to me. Gained it all back. Been see sawing up and down with my weight for most of this year. I am back on a diet, sorta. Not going as hard core as last time. I went back to the gym yesterday - first time in nearly six years.
