Susan graduates, again, on Friday. She lives in Marina Del Ray, surrounded by L.A. I hate L.A. but obviously can't miss the graduation. So we fly out Wednesday and come home next Tuesday.

She's been busy. Along with school she quit her job at L.A. County hospital and has been working independently since last fall. There are several companies that supply nurse anesthetists to small surgical centers. She tells them what days she's available and they let her know what they need and where. She can pick and choose and work as much or little as she wants. Let me tell you, the pay is good, really good. Even though she has to pay for her on medical and malpractice insurance she still comes out ahead.

Oh, and she formed her own corporation to handle the financials. I tell you, I don't know where she got all this drive and daring to do this. Sure wasn't from me.
