Well the door I ordered showed up this evening and the box looked to be in pretty decent shape so I was hoping for the best.... no such luck. I pulled it out figuring there would a dent or two in the door and I was expecting that but after getting it all the way out both bottom corners were were messed up and the front corner being the worse, it was messed up almost a third of the way up the door. So, I called summit and had them refund my money and going to send it back and something locally. I wish AMD made the doors but the only thing they make that I can find are the door skins.

I could have fixed this one but the front one was to much to fix for being a brand new door.

That sucks. It's amazing how things get handled.

I put an aftermarket door on my father's green 72'. We could never get it to open and close like the factory door on the passenger side. I believe some of that was due to the thinner gauge metal. I would use a factory door at all costs.

I actually found a guy in town that has a perfect GM door that he said he'd sell me for $200 so, I'll get that put on when I get it.

Last night I got the front brakes bled and ordered sound deadner for the the rest of the car. Also ordered the rear bumper so I can make sure I don't need to move or trim anything before I start on the bodywork. Still moving forward just not much visually.

Justin bummer about the door. We have sent Audio equipment and spent hours packing it and it still gets there destroyed. So glad that you were able to find a door local.

Justin, what kind of sound deadener did you order? I used "Fat Mat" in my trunk, 25 sqft for $54.00. (that's 5 sheets 18"x40") Its as good as Dynamat at 1/4 the cost and very easy to work with.

Ken, I told you wrong the other day, I only got 25 sq ft for the price I told you not 50 sq ft. I compared the 50 mil stuff I had and the 80 mil I just got and it's a pretty big difference.

Today was a pretty awesome day!! I got some loose ends tied up with transmission and few other things and wanted to put that sound deadener in but the floors had bunch of dust and crap from where I had been cutting and grinding on things. I tried to use the shop vac to get it all out so the stuff would stick but couldn't so since I got the couple of things taken care of with the transmission and the brakes bled the other day I was actually able to DRIVE the car up to the house to use the water hose for what I needed. Even though there wasn't a seat in it. It felt AWESOME to get in it and fire up and back it out of the garage on it's own power!! My wife got the video of me backing it out of the garage and driving it up the hill to the house. Makes me want to get this thing on the road so bad! I'm trying to get the video uploaded so you guys can see it. But for now here are a couple of pictures of it in the yard until I get the video done.

Thanks Ray! I felt like a kid that got that new toy they were wanting for Christmas.

Thanks flash!

Here's the video. Sorry it's so shaky. My wife was trying to record it with her phone and walk in flip flops up the hill.
