Default new guy type question

wondering if a 68 chevelle will fit in my garage width-wise? anyone willing to measure the width of their 68 or so chevelle?

They are no wider than a full sized pickup but remember the door are thicker than newer vehicles.

I have a 70 as well. My garage is a typical 2 car, 2 doors, around 9' wide, with a foot or so of brick in between them. Also have a steel post in the middle of the garage, there are bedrooms above. My Chevelle fits no problem, not a lot of extra room for working on it but it fits fine. A 68 is has basically the same frame but the body may be few inches narrower. I'll measure the car itself.

EDIT: Ok, my car is just over 6' wide, roughly 74" and welcome to the site.

Was that from fender to fender or tread width?I'm 5' 11",I shall lay under my car and have Maureen check,keys in my pocket of course.

well i've got a 94 inch opening to squeeze through....including mirrors should be able to do that

You should be ok, tight but ok. I slid a tape measure under the car so the measurement is close to the widest part of the doors.

My daughter could easily get a 95" car through a 94" opening.
