I am a huge pro touring fan. Would love to know more about your wheel and tire combo, not to mention suspension.

The suspension setup is forever changing...
Front is ATS's "AFX" forged aluminum tall spindles with 97-05 Corvette 13" discs, SPC tubular lower arms, SPC adjustable upper arms, 700lb AFCO dirt-track springs with weight-jacks (for adjustable ride height), AFCO 1021 shocks, and the stock 15/16" sway bar. Rear is Wolfe Racecraft double-adjustable arms with spherical heim joints in all 8 points, and AFCO shocks. Rear springs are 5.5x11 single-pigtail dirt-track springs, and I have 5 sets of those with different rates to tune it for different purposes (drag, autocross, cruising, etc...) Rear brakes are 98-02 Z28/TransAm 12" discs. This winter's changes will include a Helwig "pro-touring" adjustable rear sway bar, a 1-1/8" front sway bar from a 70s Trans-Am, and single-adjustable Alston Vari-shocks in the rear. I have to do something with the axle too... trying to decide between rebuilding the 12-bolt, or swapping in a 9". Drivetrain is a '95 LT1 fuel-injected 350 and 4L60e overdrive automatic out of a Caprice state-patrol car, and a 12-bolt w/4.10 posi. Tire/wheel combo is 17x7 and 17x8 Billet Specialties w/ 235/45 and 255/45 Kumho Ecsta MX's. |
