Default Panel Replacement Order

Since I bought my 68 Chevelle, I have been stressing out. I bought the car from someone that was not able to finish it. The trunk pan has been removed, the lower half of one rear quarter has been cut and both wheel tubs still need to be removed and replaced. The previous owner did all the right things and drilled out all the spot welds.

What should be the order of replacement, or should I put all the panels in place using a boat load of vice grips and tack them into place? Or.... and this is where I'm appealing to all of you. Hopefully from the photo you can see what I'm referring to.

Thanks for your help!!!

Perry

Couldn't open the photo. But put all your panels and trunk pan in place to test for fit. They always need some adjusting first to make sure everything lines up. Hard to adjust once welded into place. The other thing to check is make sure your body mounts are good before you start to line things up. If they are shot then everything is going to be off.

Plus one on new body mounts before fitting metal.
Urethane mounts are better.
Along with clamps you may use self drilling sheet metal screws.
Some panels are easier to prime before final welding...epoxy primer.
Dont forget weld thru primer before welding.
