my vote for a 10 second car would be spool or at minimum locker.why butcher up the 12 bolt? if its original keep er to put back if someday u want. my vote is a nine inch with 35 splines, why if going to set a rear end up have to do again if 10s arnt fast enough...believe me that DOES happen....

by the way i love my spooled 9 inch with 35 splines, have had no probs with sixty footen 1.23 best (so far) good luck

That was another option Russ, just go with a complete new rear end. I guess I will have to do a bit more research to see what I can find.

By the way, its only a little over 4 months now until tech and practice at WIR, I cant wait!!! Oh and welcome to the site, glad to see you found your way over here from WSD. If you look you will also find 68bowtie (dan) is here as well

I vote for a whole new rear. By the time you get done upgrading the 12 bolt, you'll have almost spent enough for a whole new rear.
Call Strange, but don't order a whole bunch of parts. Have them ship you out one of their S-60 rears. Doesn't use as much horsepower as a 9" and is just as strong if not stronger.

I' thinking of replacing my 12 bolt also. As was said, to make your 12 bolt last with a stick is going to be expensive. Have you looked at the Strange S60, or Quick Performance has some nice bolt in 9 in Fords. The thing is, have you looked at what 12 bolts are bringing lately? You can sell yours and get a pretty good chunk of change to put on a better bolt in.
