motor is done. We just got to bring it here. I got the overdrive on. I got a low profile trans mount. Notched the cross member so reverse clears. Moving along now.

Cool.

Well the motor is home now.

Carb is a 850 doublepumper called a Brawler.

Best pic of the engine at the builders.

And one at my house in front of the Chebbie.

Maybe in spring I can ruin some tires.

Motor is in. OMG had to take the brake booster and windsheild wiper motor off to get the valve cover back on. This thing is shoehorned.

I used a low profile trans mount make room for the overdrive so I didn't have to beat the floor into submission. So I notched the cross member for reverse linkage. It went in slick as butter. I still got room left.

I have a hv 2016 intake so the carb fits in the engine compartment. I got the super comp headers coated and milled so they fit. They are on. I work on it everyday just about now. It is coming along. I got the front end lined up now. These things fight caster all the way.

Got the clutch flywheel and starter scattersheild trans back in. Fooling with console and wiring for the overdrive right now. It turned over with the key for the first time in 15 years a few days ago.

I got the trans back in permanently. I saw where the marks were and popped it with a hammer. Then repainted the floor. It fit this time with the factory sized mount. I got the wiring for the overdrive done. I wasn't keen on the shifter ball being the switch. I sat in it with the ball in my hand. So I am a playbaby when I drive. the button and wire agravated me. So I am going with the white fatory 4 speed pattern ball. I put the leds for the overdrive and the switch on the console. Next to the seat. Easy access for me and i can see it if i want to. I took off today xmas family stuff you know and so forth.

I did hook everything up and had a multimeter on the soliniod wires. Turned it on and off. spun the speedo sensor with a drill. Red LED turned to Green like it should and 12v to the solinoid leads.

Being a boat builder I am corrcting a 60's oversight with cup holders that hold actual cups. Making a insert for the console. Has 2 cup holders easily removed. Using black boat cup holders. Close the lid out of sight out of mind. Or take it out and it is sill factory looking.

I made metal braces for everything on the console. 7 screws holding that puppy down it is solid.
