I was down working out and my boy was with me. He said Daddy let me play gran Tourismo 4 in the real car.

So I let him sit in it while i did my thing. He was making the racing engine noises.

He never seen a stick shift car. He is asking Daddy why does this car have a extra pedal. I explained it is for a manual trans as opposed to a automatic. Just like the game.

Went over to the huge, annual car show/swap meet over at the Daytona Speedway. Was able to get a trunk pan for the 69' from Ausley's, but nothing else. I had my father with me and he just couldn't do all the walking required. I wish I could go tomorrow, I am stuck at work all day.

Yeah, I spent most of yesterday walking around that infield.
Also made a purchase from Ausley's...a turn signal switch for the Sprint. Tired of the left signal not turning off...

Was doing the front turn signals today. Cleaning and painting the housings. Tested and one had very high resistance from the body to the ground of the bulb. That was a slow blinker and dim light waiting to happen. Dab of solder and we good to go. Glad I am Charlie Anal sometimes. That would have been a WTF once it was together.

Tomorrow buff up the lenses. I had 2 perfect ones out of 6 I had. I love when that happens. Chips cracks and corners missing from rocks over the years.

Spent 8 hours in my garage today. Had to seal some gaps in the walls which required me to do a lot of moving things around. This old lady did pretty good moving tool boxes, BMX bike racks, tires and lots of car parts. Actually got almost everything done that I wanted to. Grumpy and my son Jacob plan on using the garage to work on some of the BMX bikes they have and needed for the garage to to be a little more secure so that was done too.

I am feeling a little sore right now, but also relieved that I got it all done. Good thing my car is in storage, but I am sure it will like all the changes when it gets back in the spring.

Under hood wiring done. Horns in. I sat for a long time under the hood with a capfull of mixed hot rod black and a paintbrush. Touching up where i sanded the grounds, boltheads, anything i could find that needed touched up.
Now off on the next adventure.
