68 chevelle hood hinges frozen
Hello everyone. I am restoring a 68 el camino ss and when I purchased the project I removed the original hinges. 5 years later I am going through the sheet metal gapping process, bolted my hood on and the hood will not move ----- hinges frozen. I have been soaking it overnight (sprayed with PB40 Blaster and WD 40) but still no movement. It has the original 68 SS hood which is rare and solid and I don't want to bend it. Do you think just letting that penetrating lubricant soak in will eventually free them up?

Ok, I'm hoping. I could switch to a 69 repo ss hood & 69 hinges but I want to keep the 68 set up. The 68 hood actually opens up higher than the 69 which I prefer also.

Had good result using Sea Foam Deep Creep lube. This stuff is better than wd40.
