Welcome and congrats on the Chevelle. You have any plans for it or just drive it?

Thanks I am not really sure what to do with it yet. I may just drive it, it does run but I can't imagine the 283 is much power for this giant thing. I'm sure everyone on here know more than me how much power you can get out of this engine.

I had a 283 in a 66 chevelle all souped up it ran real good. Honestly unless you like revving the snot out of them a 350 would be easier to do for you.

Camel hump heads and a big cam it will run like a motorcycle. It needs a gear in the rear end to work tho. I loved mine.

The best bang for your buck improvement on that drivetrain is to replace the Powerglide with a TH350 transmission. A direct bolt in upgrade.

I like Chevelle 4 drs...
