Default Engine combinations, 500HPish 396

Hello again, the next step on my quest here is to find a workable combination. So the question for this thread is:

What parts combination can be put together to have a nice, streetable 396/402 using a 1970 396 block as the starting base, that produces around 500HP and 500TQ? Aftermarket parts are an option here, forced induction and nitrous are not. I've never been a fan of them.

While I'm not necessarily set hard on the 500/500, I am set on it being the small bore big block I have in the car. The reason is, if I am going to change blocks I would change to an LS-based small block, not an old school big block. If I do go to an LS engine I'll put the 396 back together with the stock parts and set it up for long-term storage so that anyone who buys the car from me in the future would have the option of putting the car back 100 percent stock.

I would absolutely set the original engine aside, so as not to damage it. I would stay with a big block engine just for ease of installation. Check out this mid 80s RV 454 with a Trick Flow top end kit. Well over 500 HP, and very simple.
