Gary I think pics would help as I'm not sure what the issue is, but if it is what I think it is have you tried to get the rubber pad warmed up before putting it on that way it is more flexible?

Hey Gary,
I found this on another forum: http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=155710 It's similar to what I did, with the exception to the type of glue used. I used automotive "GOOP". This stuff will stick to anything including chrome.

First off there are two bumper pads out there. Just beware there is a correct looking bumper pad and one that is not. One has the raised SS and one has the recessed SS on it. The one you want is contoured to fit the bumper properly and the letters are recessed like the original one. I used blocks of wood and clamps to hold mine in place when I installed it.

Thanks for your responces. The pad has 3m tape on it from the mfg.i think a wood strip across the middle with deep c-clamps will do the trick, thanks guys.
