Thanks Ray, I have not heard back from him yet. He wanted pictures of the area I need cut out. I fired off an email with a few pictures to him about 20 minutes ago.

Thumbs up

Just wanted to express my gratitude again Ray. It's a done deal, I dropped payment in the mail before I left for work.

Glad to hear it worked out. For me these forums are about helping each other out with a hobby we all love.

I think I scored a mint 70' bench seat. Going to look it over tomorrow morning. I will rest a little easier having all of these parts for the car.

Just got back with the seat about 45 minutes ago. It is in very good shape. Well worth the $200 and long ride to retrieve it.

Just picked up a rear seat, $100. Thank you CList! Going to take the best of the rear seats I have to choose from and sell what I don't use.

Sounds like the rest of us. You just keep "upgrading" with those Craigs list purchases. lol

Usually nothing but junk on Craigslist. But, the past two weekends - it has been a "gold mine" for me.

I have acquired an engine block and a carburetor over the past three weeks. Trying to curb my spending, but still pick up a few things as I am able to. My money tree needs to hurry up and sprout!

I have settled on an engine build...

74' 454 block - .100" overbore, internally balalnced & lightended 4" stroke crank, Howards I-Beam rods - stock length, small dome pistons - shooting for around 10.5 - 11:1 CR, GMPP 401 casting NHRA legal cylinder heads - hoping to have enough cash to port them, a custom hdraulic roller with Morel lifters from Chris Straub, the 163 intake manifold I have - center divider will be cut down and some porting done, 3310 Holley I have - reworked by an undetermined source, repop exhaust manifolds - reworked and carved on by me, roller rockers, 71' LS3 distributor I have laying around with a Pertronix Ignitor III and a recurve kit. The goal is 525 - 550 HP @ the crankshaft. I want to run mid 11s on pump gas and G70X14 red line tires. (I think the red lines will look great against the code 55 paint - and they were an option in 1969)
