Default Today

Today I took my car up to the garage I have do work on it to have my new Eibach 1 1/2" lowering springs put on the front. When he dropped the lower control arms he said I got something to show ya. (I hate hearing that) Both sides lower control arm bushings were rotted away and shot. He said the uppers don't look bad. We were going to have the front end looked at anyways.....so I guess she's not gonna kill me yet for spending more money

Wouldn't even consider putting any control arms back in the chassis without replacing the bushings.
Stock rubber Moog/Spicer will work just fine.

Moog is what they put in there. Man what a difference. I only drove it a couple of miles but I could feel a drastic change. Also the front springs did their job. Went from 27" to 25 1/2" ground through center of wheel to wheel opening molding. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

I like it better too Ken. I have seen your car in person and I thought the stance looked good before, but I think I like it better now.

Took the car up to "Better Brakes" on Middlebelt in Livonia and had Joe Giniel the owner of the company do the front end alignment. Nancy, he was the guy with the shaved head that drove the red 70 Chevelle SS with the 496 in it at the Wayne road cruise. He is a member of the Chevelle Club of Michigan and really knows his stuff about alignments. I told him I had 101 miles on the lowering springs and he said perfect. Right side was way out on caster and camber, left was out a tad on camber and the towout was terrible. Car rides like a brand new car now. Judy said its actually a pleasure to drive now.
