Default Hi! : )

Hi…I'm Claude from Quebec, Canada. This is my first post here but I've been into Chevelles for more than 30 years, having owned 2 of them, first a '69 Malibu (raced in NHRA "Super Stock" classes) which I sold around 1985 and now I have a '71 SS. I've been a member on the "other" site for 4 years now with 1,460 posts.

See 'ya!

Claude.

Thanks guys!…Glad to read that's a little "easier going" and friendlier here. I often found that there are a lot of so-called "purists" and "know-it-all's" on the "other" site…too many for me at times. These guys are more into "correctness" and matching numbers, correct stickers, radiator hose clamps and crayon marks, etc…If that's what they're into, fine but that's just not for me. I prefer modding my cars the way I want. I can appreciate an all-original car when I see one, but it's not something I dream of having one day. I couldn't care less about rarity and the matching numbers craze.
I tried two or three times to post a few pictures of my older Chevelle and the one I have now but for some reason, it didn't work. When I got to the part where I try to include some pictures, I click on them and it just says "uploading picture" and it then, nothing happens. I keep getting that message but that's it, nothing gets uploaded... someone can please help?
One last question: Can we "manage attachments" (upload and also delete them as needed?)…The "other" sire won't and once you've uploaded a given amount of pics, well that's it! you can't delete old ones to replace them with newer ones…

Claude

Yes you can delete and replace. I use photobucket because I used my space allotted here. And I don't want blank spots in the thread.

I with you on the originality thing. I been in these cars since they were new. Back then nobody wanted a original car. Custom paint and more power was what was cool. Why would anyone want a cookie cutter car? As Nancy says make it yours. I am not trying to turn a quick buck. I just know what i like and that is what i want. This is the place if you like a car like that. No SS Nazi's here.

Thanks John for the good comments…I'm from Saint-Eustache, QC (about 15 miles west of Montreal). The only shows I've been to outside of Canada are the one in North East, Maryland last year, and this year, the "Goodguys" show in Springfield Mass. and another in Grand Island, NY. (which I regretted going to) a few weeks ago.
