Default Drop top Chevy II

Not sure if I ever mentioned it... sometime last year my father sold his 72 LeMans Sport. He acquired a 1963 Chevy II Convertible. Solid car, just tons of shoddy work done by a bunch of hacks. Been working on that in between everything else, I am spread thin with my day job and all the other projects.

The car had some kind of cobbled g body front clip welded on. I cut that off and installed a Heidt's Mustang II front end. Been flip-flopping between engines... as of right now it is getting a low mile 5.3/60E.

Not much to report. Really busy with other things. I'll be pulling the engine and transmission for it next month. My father has a GMC Sierra, runs great no issues.... just wants more power. Swapping in an LQ4/80E with a cam and 3000 stall. The 5.3 will get a small cam and headers before going in the Nova. It will be plenty of power in a light car.

5.3L & 4L60E are in, headers should be here tomorrow. Test-fitting everything and making any needed tweaks currently.

Here's more showing the real estate we have to work with. Headers delayed until Monday due to the storm.

Speed Engineering 67-69 Camaro/Firebird LS swap headers are a good fit.
