Default How can I get this out...or should I?

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to clean up the firewall on my 72 and I have the wire harness that goes right through the middle of the firewall. I can't see inside the car where it leads, but I think I should take it out. Where does it go? Heres a pic...

The wiring goes to the A/C controls, it is not hard to get out, just unhook the wires from the controls and you should be able to pull it out. You may have to pull the defrost ducts too (I can't remember).
