Default Stalls out when warm. Starter won't work

1964 283 stalls out after being warmed up and electrical system is dead. Starter motor will not work until everything is cooled down.
Has rebuilt starter motor and new distributor and coil. Where do I go from here ? Thank you.

Check all the grounds. Bet you find corroded metal and the white powder like a battery gets. Between the cable and block or body core support etc etc. There a bunch of them. Sandpaper the wire end to fresh metal and the contact surface also. Once it bolted back together. Put some electronics grease on it. I forget what it is called but radio shack has it. Prevents future corroding. Axle/bearing grease works to.

Default Bad Ground ?

Thank you. I had the engine out of the car to replace the rear oil seal and ended up painting it so, maybe the ground cable isn't making good contact with the block. I will scrape the paint away and give that a try. Will let you know results. Thank you.

All electrical is dead? You should also have a pigtail coming off negative battery post that is grounded to fender. That wire provides the ground for everything except the starter and ignition, they're grounded by the main negative cable to the block. So check the pigtail as well as the main cable.

Default Problem solved

You solved my starting problem. I scraped the new paint away from where the neg battery cable bolts to the engine block and that solved the problem. Thanks again, I appreciate the help.
