Default fan speed for a/c in 69 malibu

hello question.
have a 69 Malibu with factory air.
had all new parts for the a/c put in last summer, new motor, fan, etc
however, the fan speed is not the fastest blowing./
is this normal?

I guess the new cars on high, the fan about blows a person away, but the chevelle seems a lot less.

my 79 trans am, with factory air, kind of the same way, on high the fan speed isnst the fastest, but is a little more than chevelle.

my chevelle has the lever to adjust fan speed, and it works, but on "high" it just don't blow out fast air. maybe that's normal for these old cars?

thanks

How do you have it adjusted. It comes out 5 places. New cars come out one at a time Maybe vent and feet on some. Adjust it to dash only see what happens. 2 sliders control where it goes. Mine blows pretty good. Competes with anything more recent I got.

Highest blower speed circuit is controlled by a inline fuse the runs along the outside of the firewall near the heat/air box.
Check that fuse...location tends to make it often corrode.

ok thanks, will check the fuse.
I have the vents open, and the kick panel levers pulled so that the air is about the same blowing thru the round vents on the ends of the dash as the vents in the middle
