Forum Suggestions
I really like that this forum is simple and doesn't have too many separate categories... that said, I have a few suggestions for adding and subtracting a few, as well as a few questions. IMHO, to be successful, a forum should be as clean and easy to use as possible. Please don't be offended, these are just suggestions, from someone who's been active on several forums.
Chevelle Introduction and Chevelle Gallery seems redundant... new members and new projects could all go into one. Maybe call it "Member & Chevelle Introductions" Chevelle General Talk - is this forum for tech questions, or what? May need some clarification... If it's tech, wouldn't those questions go in the "maintenance" if they don't fit another forum? Chevrolet Corner - I like it, but it should be near the bottom IMHO. We're here for Chevelles first. Chevelle Maintenance - Like it! Chevelle Autobody/Restoration - this is needed! Maybe add a show & shine (detailing) subforum? Chevelle engine - like it, but non-performance... who wants non-performance? Maybe just call it "stock/mild-street" or something like that. Chevelle Suspension - like it Chevelle Wheel & Tire - like it Chevelle tunes - I think "Chevelle Interiors" might be better w/ Audio as a subforum? Under Performance, I think it should just be "Drag Racing" and "Pro-Touring". These would include specialty questions about total performance including chassis setup, gearing, tire tech, etc... When the forum grows, maybe then add forums for N/A, power-adders, LS swaps, EFI, etc. Bucket of Bolts - like it, but the name is a little silly and IMHO not very descriptive of what it's intended for. Maybe "Open Discussion" ??? Chevelle forums - like it Last edited by Derek69SS; 12-30-2009 at 04:45 PM. |

I like most of those, but I do like the gallery forum as a separate forum. The number of forums was limited somewhat until the membership grew a little. I'm sure grumpy will add forums or change the names based on what you guys want.
I'm not crazy about bucket of bolts either. Bench Racing is not exclusive to TC and I kind of like that forum name. |

Forum Suggestion
Too bad my username from the "other" Chevelle forums (70ChevelleRagtop) can't be used here as the username field is not large enough.
Other than that, I like what I see so far. |
