Default New Gas Tank Question?

I am installing a new OEM gas tank in my 69 SS396.....Should I seal or coat the inside? If so with what product?

I have a new one to install in our 72 Malibu convertible and Im not coating it with anything .

I wouldn't put anything inside it except gasoline.

It's a new tank so no need to put anything in it except gas.

I have never heard of anything being put inside a gas tank other than gas.
