Default New Year

Um.... welcome to 2021 ....

Chevelle project for the month of January is replacement of the 'Glide in the '65 with a T350 and 3000 stall converter.... should wake the car up a bit.

Either that or an installation of EFI so drivers behind me don't have to roll up their windows from the rich smell of unburned gas because I am creeping about barely above an idle.

I think the tranny will win out for Jan.

Well I have to get a flywheel and water pump for the 454 sitting in the garage. Paint it, pull the other engine and install it. Maybe get the Chevelle painted, Lynda says I should. In fact she said that just today. I mean if the boss says to do it I really don't have a choice.

I love it when a plan comes together! My wife said she actually wanted to DRIVE the '65, I told her that there was some stuff I needed to do before I let her drive... she gave me the green light.

What color on the Chevelle? Same - or completely new?

I would stay with same or close to the current color. There's enough red, black or blue 70's out there. Plus the white painted top is factory. Some people think I'm just too cheap to replace the vinyl top but it never had one. Car came from Cardinal Chevy in Hazard Kentucky. White tops were more common there. Kept the car cooler in the summer sun and kept the headliner from rotting out.
