looks nice. I just ordered a 4" Harwood bolt on hood, the sales man didnt say anything about changing hinges, he just asked about the springs

'68 hinges are shorter where they bolt to the hood. The hoods are actually slightly different between '68 and '69. The mounting bolt holes are closer together on the '68, than the '69. ...and since the body lines are the same for '68 and '69 hoods, they just make hoods for '69 cars. (to avoid having to make two different hoods) so the mounting bolt centers for the hood only fit '69 hinges. If you buy an after market hood, it will have '69 mounting holes in it. Therefore you need '69 hinges.
