Default Holiday spirit

Now I ain't never been one to get in to the holidays all that much. Guess its how commercialized its all became.

But one thing that drives me nuts is rearranging the living room to put up a tree.

I'm hoping we don't have a tree this year. Haven't had one in a couple of years now. I hate Christmas.

I had to spend the day putting up lights outside. I know we had nice weather but we had to clean up the leaves.

I hate putting up lights but Lynda has to decorate the house for every holiday.

I don't know what grumpy was complaining about. I rearranged the living room the way I liked it with the tree. He said no, he wanted it a different way and walked back down the hall. I rearranged it the way he wanted. And I don't like it.

As far as out Christmas tree, I have a HUGE nice looking tree. But since we don't have room, grumpy had gone out a few years ago and bought a Charlie Brown tree that has the lights already on it. My 13 year old put it together.

I think that we do so much at Christmas time since we started working with the Volunteers of America Organization. That it has become a lot of work for us, and grumpy becomes even more grumpy. If that's possible. lol

I am glad to see there are other Grinches here. I can't stand the whole holiday commercialized thing. I like Thanksgiving, it is a simple meaningful holiday but Black Friday and sales are starting to take it over.

I still put up some lights, but not like I use to do when the kids were at home. We still get a tree every year, and in fact this year I'm going to cut the tree I have been growing in the back yard from a seedly for our christmas tree. Our kids tell us don't buy them presents, so Barb and I only share a small gift for Christmas. To keep the holidiay spirit alive we like finding a couple of couples in need. The smile on there faces says it all.

BAH HUMBUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas is in winter and I hate winter.

Besides, I bet if you asked 100 kids and 50 adults not one of them could tell you the real reason for celebrating Christmas.

We love Christmas and go overboard decorating the house .We get gifts for our great nephews and our great neice .We dont get much for each other anymore as we each buy what we need on our own. We hope next year to be able to help a family in need like we used to do. We hate what Christmas has become on the commercial end of things and dont partake on Black Friday .
