Default Stock Drags in Stanton Mi Sept 12-14

Anyone else going, I think I'm going to take a ride out there tomorrow to see real drag racing.

That is cool that they are doing it live. It's only a little over a hour for me to be there so I think I'll make the drive to smell some burning rubber. The wife said she would go with me if I wanted, and I said thanks she did not have to do that, as I know she would not like the noise and smell.

Do you play with Quadrajets? Cliff Ruggles did my carb, and I purchased a copy of his tuning for dummies book. But, it's still voodoo to me. I'm going to mess with it on a loaded chassis dyno before hitting the track. However, I will never turn down help from anyone more experienced.

Not really, I send mine out to http://www.smicarburetor.com/ with the spec on my motor and he build it for my motor and all I had to is to install it and follow his tuning tips and it runs great. I did the same for the Camaro this year and could not be happier.....no more QJet Boag.

Had a great time there today, it was great seeing these stock cars running with Bias Belted tires and no headers. The fastest cars there were the L88 Vettes and LS6 Chevelles.

Was keeping close eyes on the L78 Chevelles and they were running pretty close to 13 flat.

Really thinking about taking the Camaro there next year...it's slow but it completely stock.

Not sure if you got a flyer, but they are having a one day event on November 2nd. It will be held at Martin, MI. End of season event, and they even have a pre-planned rain date. (If needed) November 9th.

Did you happen to see a Glacier Blue 300 Dlx SS 396? I heard he went 12.1 on Friday. (L78/L89, TH40, 4.56)

Yes I did see it, I was running white walls bias belted tires, they did announce that it was a L78 with L89 aluminum heads and it was fast.
