Default Transmission Choices

Looking down the road, I seriously want some ass-whoppin performance and great mileage on the Hwy. Engine choice will likely be a stock LS3 (525HP) or a stroked version (600HP+), not sure yet. I've been reading up on TCI's new 6X 6 spd auto. Program it to give me all the performance using the first 4 gears and Hwy mileage with the last two gears.

Anyone out there install one of these. The 6X uses the 4L80E case so its big and I think I have some surgery to perform with the trans tunnel, just not sure how much. Some insight to this would help if anyone has some photos.

Thanks,
Perry

Whoops, I guess I should add my signature. I have a 68 Chevelle Malibu. Car was originally a 327/4 spd. I found a frame from a big block car and now going with an LS-525 and TCI's new 6X (I think) unless there are better options. I will not be tracking the car, purely crusining and having fun.
