Default How to remove a rear bumper bolt?

While rewiring the rear lights on my '72 convertible I tried to remove the bumper. The problem is I can't get one of the bolts out. It is one that comes up from the bottom and screws into some kind of clip that seems to be completely boxed in. I'm assuming it's rusty and the whole clip is spinning. Any tips or tricks on how to get this bolt out?

May have to cut the bolt. I'm assuming you're talking about the lower valance bolt, which do have a clip on them.

Sounds like that could be it. I was able to get the straw on a can of PB Blaster up there last night. Going to try and break it free again this week when I have time. If not I'll cut the head off the bolt. The bumper isn't in great shape but I didn't really want to ruin it.

Ended up cutting the head off the bolt. Still have to get the bolt out of the clip but shouldn't be an issue.
