1971 Chevelle, what size tires?
Hello all. Getting my 71 Chevelle convertible back on the road, been in storage for the last 20 years (ran engine and moved 300' last fall). Figure time for new tires. Currently have 15" GM Rally style rims. Tires on it are 225/70/R15.
Chevelle will be a cruiser, looking for a nice soft ride with low road noise. What are you all running? Seeing some supply issues...hate COVID! |

230 is what I got now and my buddy has on his 71.
I am putting 235 on front and 275 on the back soon as the rims arrive. |

Either 225/70r15 or 245/60r15. Put the same size tire on all fours.
The best wheels are the First-generation Rally in 15 x 7 with a 4.25 back space or the Third Generation Rally with the spokes also in 15 x 7 4.25 back space. |
