And finally back to this point the week of CB11

Its been in and out of shops since that point and I haven't had much of a chance to drive the car the remainder of the summer.

Very nice looking car.

I agree with the price. Just trying to get the RPMs down at cruising speed. I'd like to be at about 2000 rpms at 70mph.

When I was looking to replace the trans I wanted to be able to have the power and still be able to drive it to shows without the RPM's screaming on the expressway. That is why we went with the 200R4. And I really love it. If I stomp on it, it will squawk the tires in every gear (with my street tires on it). When I get on the expressway I can cruise and get decent gas mileage.

Here is a link to the conversations we had about what trans to go with:

What gears do you have in the rear? and what diameter of tire.

We have a 373. The drag radials are 28" tires. The height of the ones on there right now, I am not exactly sure. Here is another link to a post where we were talking about the tires and rims.

Well, today a full billet 200-4R from CK Performance was bolted into the car which of course created 50 other issues (well 3 to be exact.) The exhaust no longer fits as the cross-member now interferes with the x-pipe. The driveshaft (previously used in a TH350...) which everyone said would work, needs to be shortened by a couple inches as currently it is jabbed all the way into the transmission and has no room for movement when the suspension is compressed. Lastly, we had a small issue with the lock up switch wiring. Hopefully those will be sorted out tomorrow and the car will be on the road by this weekend.

Also, while the transmission was out I finally had the mini-started from DB electrical swapped out as it has been sitting on my shelf for the better part of a year.

That's all for today

Thanks Gary! I am quite happy with it. I love the Red and Black Chevelles but don't come across as many Forest Greens. It was originally Misty Turquoise but I am partial to the darker colors.
