What kind of security system do you use on your car ?
It may not be the best thing to post what kind of security system you have on your car. But with a few recent thefts in the news, I figured that I would ask anyway.
Or maybe a few suggestions for others, when they leave their cars at a car show.

My cars are small block and the vert is a Malibu so it isnt as desirable so I just keep them well insured even though to me they are irreplaceble .

flash, you have some beautiful cars. The vert is my favorite. Don't discount what you have, it is all desirable to the right person.

IMHO, a electronic tracking device hidden in your car somewhere, like under the rear seat.

Alarm systems are only deterrents and will somewhat slow down a perspective rookie thief or a teenager looking for a joy ride.
The high-end collector car like we are discussing here are typically hauled away by professionals. This is why I say if you can't stop them, you sure the heck should be able to track them by imbedding a tracking device of some sort in your classic.

I do like disabling a car, I have done that many times in the past. But a tracking device would be something to do too. Any suggestions on where to get one ? Is there one that may be better than the next ?

Ms Grumpy, Lojack is a common tracking device, and there are others as well. The $700.00 price tag is a lot, but consider the price of never seeing you car again!
Starter kills can be bypassed by most punks now days, fuel shut-offs can be bypassed by a car hauler with a electric winch or tow truck. Just something to think about if you car is out in the public left unattended, just the times we live in. http://www.lojack.com/Cars-Trucks-An...k-For-Classics
