Hank I hope your wife is doing better. I know this past week has been hard for her. So when do they have her starting PT ?

Hey, I been kind of busy, in fact I'm worn out. She's doing better. She sees the surgeon tomorrow, maybe the staples will come out. Physical therapist has been coming to the house since last Saturday and really working her leg. Next week Friday she'll start going out for therapy. Place is in Brighton so it's only a few miles and we've both been there before.

It's a lot bigger deal than she thought it would be. I kinda knew but didn't say anything. She needed to have it done and I didn't want her to back out.

One of these days Judy's gonna have to have one of her hips replaced but I think she's just too scared right now.

A black friend of ours that goes to a lot of shows was talkin to her a few weeks ago and said he has to get his replaced because its been pure hell for over 5 years and he wants to be better. Well, at Wednesday's car show I saw him still with his cane and he motions me over......"I DID IT, ITS ALL OVER" is what he told me. He said he had it done on Saturday and the pain is finally gone after all these years. Said he's still a little stiff, but no more pain. He saw Judy and said I've gotta go talk with your wife. When he was telling her about it he almost broke down crying because he was so happy and told Judy to stop putting it off. Well, time will only tell now.

My brother in-law had his hip replaced last year. Same thing, pain gone right away. From what I've heard recovery from hip replacement is much faster and easier than a knee.
