Default My "new" GMC

'96 4wd It has a 350, auto trans, grandpa owned/one owner, service records out the wazoo, seats look barely used, carpet is nearly perfect. It is a nice truck. 150,000 miles, new ac compressor, new rubber, looks like it just got a tune-up too.

My younger son saw the red GMC on the grill and said...his name is Jimmy C, right daddy? It has stuck. I usually don't name or refer to my vehicles as boys, but I think I like it. My son patted him on the wheel and said he's a big boy daddy.

Once I get that POS F#$& out of my driveway I'll be all GM with the wife's buick, the Chevelle, and Jimmy C.

He is a big boy, nice looking truck. We had a couple in the past when the kids were younger.

Nice truck, if that truck was up here in Michigan it would be a rust bucket.

It is a 1500. I've got a few things in mind to make it my own, wheels, stance, "intake"/exhaust, maybe a brush guard and some auxiliary lights/55w backup lights. I need to hunt for some of these on the used market. I'd love to score a chip for it, but those are like $200 or $300, aren't they?

It would definitely be rusted out if it was from up north, no doubt about it. I bought it for $3700, and I'm certain that if I keep it in good shape, I could easily get that much for it if I ever needed to let him go. It blue books at over $5000.

Weird thing happened, when I was test-driving it, the SES light came on, I stopped at autozone and had the code read...P1406 EGR out of position. It stayed on for the trip home, about 90 miles, and hasn't come back on since.
