Default West Coast Chevelle Gathering

The 2nd annual West Coast Chevelle Gathering will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Sacramento Raceway...

Come hang out with fellow Chevelle lovers and enjoy the day and the BBQ... You can race if you'd like, smoke the tires in the burnout contest or just hang out with some nice people checking out Chevelles.

Last year we had over 50 Chevelles attend and it was a blast...

Chevelle not currently running? Come out anyway... The event is held within a regular Test-n-Tune event, so you can even race your daily ride no matter what brand...

I want to go as well. I'm from Nor-Cal originally so it would be cool to see fam in Dunsmuir, Chico, and Redding. If my car was a little more roadtrip worthy I wouldn't think twice about it.

Like Tony said, last years event was a blast. Alot of guys commented on TC that they didn't come because they didn't feel the first "gathering" would draw a large group and saw by the pics posted they missed a great event. The guys at Sacramento Raceway went all out to provide us with private track time, private staging lanes and the best spot possible in the pit area for all the cars to be together. A giant thumbs up to the owner and crew of Sac. Raceway. I had to park my '55 way far away from the group, but the '69 was allowed to be with everyone else. My daughter had never been to the drags so we had a great time. I know it's a tuff haul for a one day event, but you need to try a long distance run once in awhile. Some changes are being made to this years event to get you guys on the road earlier. Also, I think there's still smoke hanging over the starting line from Tony.

Pretty sure I am going to do the burnout contest again... I have a nice set of tires and wheels just waiting to be turned into little smoking marbles...

You've got two months to get it ready!!
I'm sure my el Camino would drive right down. Sound's like fun, + there's lot's to see in N. California - take the coast hwy back up thru Oregon.
I'm gettin' my self up for a road trip!!

Saw this last year on TC.
Hmmmm, who do you know who is semi retired who can skip a week of work any ol time he wants to. Hmmmm, drop over, see Wolfplace. The twins could arrive early but I think this is a safe still.... Hmmmmm
Maybe not the thing for my 3000 stall converter....would be nice to have a cruiser 2nd hotrod.

Yeah I have friends/family all through there....would be cool to take I-5 down stop in Dunsmuir/Mt. Shasta Redding and Chico then head over to the coast and take the 101 through eureka/arcata. Maybe next year when my engine is done....

That'd be a great birthday road trip for me, but I'd feel more comfortable with at least another person from the area driving down. With O/D I'd certainly be up for it....providing my work situation permits it.
