If your block has been decked, that means now the heads are sitting a little lower and farther out than stock on the block. By machining the intake you will undoubtedly almost double the offset of everything ie: bolt holes, port alignments and so on. Do like Bill suggests and use the afore mentioned gaskets.
I'm a retired toolmaker and I know what I'm talking about as far as machining metal to try and make fit.

Thanks for the advice... I will be installing the gaskets Bill recommend and the permatext sealant mestorod recommended. |

You can also go to the Edlebrock site and get the torque and sequence for that manifold if you don't already have them.
