Started wet sanding the over spray off from doing the pinch welds. Finished up the rear window, tomorrow the windshield area. Bought some 3M 3000 grit wet/dry paper. Not really paper, cloth back, some foam with the grit on it. Maybe a 1/16th thick. Man is it nice nice, cuts better than the regular 2000 grit wet/dry and leaves the surface almost ready for wax. A little polishing compound and it should be good.

I'd really like that aluminum radiator, but the check for those sort of things in tech.

Took the Chevelle to a Make a Wish car show today. The show has been able to make 8 kids dreams come true in the last 9 years. All of the proceeds go to the kids. Great cause to support.

I'm thinking of going to the HOD show also on Saturday...if it's not going to be a total washout. Right now the forecast is calling for 60%...

Finished get her ready to have the windshield and rear glass installed tomorrow morning. Installed headliner trim, painted a-pillar moldings, I'll install dash pad and a-pillar trim after glass is in, need to let the paint dry some more.

Decided to change the thermostat AGAIN. The last one stuck again on me last night and so we found one that is high rpm rated.

Has anyone used the Mr Gasket High Performance Gasket ? I used #4364 High Performance 180 degree Thermostat and am hoping that it solves my "thermostat" problem. I have had a couple people who suggested that I use this as opposed to the "regular" ones which sometimes have a hard time because of the high rpm motor and the water pressure it can produce from the water pump. Wondering what you guys think.

"Mr. Gasket high performance thermostat fits GM / Ford / AMC.
GM/Ford/AMC 180 degrees. SEE catalog for application chart. These high performance thermostats are designed to resist large variations in coolant pressure that occur at high rpm's where coolant temperature and coolant pressure fight for control of the thermostat keeping it from opening at its designated temperature. The balanced HP thermostat features all brass and copper construction, and open at the right temperature regardless of engine RPM."

after taking 2 weeks off from touching the chevelle because i was so frustrated with it. i went to work on it weds. I got my new master cylinder and it worked like a charm, I was able to bleed the brakes with no issues. so i didn't want to push it by working on the steering column so i left it alone. Last night i said why not lets work on it. Installed the new steering column and put is all back together. Today i will install the steering wheel and clean up all the hoses and wires under the dash
