Yesterday our high was 70 ,when my wife got home from work we went top down cruising .Today its raining with tornado warnings all over Georgia .One has touched down in a neighboring town doing lots of damage in Adairsville Ga and I-75 is closed there in both directions . Very nasty here as I type .

BillsCamino 01-30-2013 11:31 AM

Yeah, I-75 @ exit 306 is closed both ways where a tornado crossed about an hour ago. That is 30 miles north of me. Lots of damage in Adairsville.
Radar presently showing another one developing out I-20 in west GA near Breman.

BillsCamino 01-30-2013 11:48 AM

There go the warning sirens again...supposedly one potential tornado tracking towards Woodstock, GA...about 2 miles from here.
Radar shows 120mph rotation....with hail.

BillsCamino 01-30-2013 12:00 PM

I hope Eric's OK...passing thru Hiram right now.

carpoor 01-30-2013 03:40 PM

83* here today, 81* yesterday. I am sunburnt from hoofing around job sites the past two days. Tomorrow, not even supposed to be 70*.

69chevelless 01-30-2013 04:39 PM

Close to 60 here today!!

flash 01-30-2013 05:12 PM

What a nasty day this has been ,I think the tornado threat is over ,now if the rain will just stop .When I got home I found my driveway was washed out pretty bad so I got my tractor out and got it back close to where it was before ,man that rain is getting cold . Im sitting here watching the news showing all the damage from the tornado ,it looks pretty devastating . I hate this kind of weather . I too hope Eric is OK .

Ms Grumpy 01-30-2013 05:52 PM

flash, first I am on today, I am glad to hear that you are OK. Just waiting to hear that Eric is OK too.

fleming23 01-30-2013 09:53 PM

Everything faired well here, thankfully! Ridiculous storms today though!

Ms Grumpy 01-31-2013 03:29 PM

Today we had snow whiteout that caused a 30+ car pile up on I-75 here in Detroit. There were many people hurt and 3 fatalities, not sure but have heard that 2 of them are children from Canada. So sad.

We had a lot of rain last night, then it became cold and windy. The temps this morning were in the low 20's and there were patches of ice all over. Right now it is only 26 degrees and we are still having patches of white out snow.

flash 01-31-2013 08:37 PM

Eric ,Im glad to hear youre OK .

Ms Grumpy ,I read about that pile up in the paper today ,very sad .

shadowgray396 02-01-2013 06:39 PM

Hit 55° today and no rain with the sun all day. It was a nice break. Going to be dry for the weekend.

flash 02-01-2013 07:33 PM

It was dry and sunny here today but damn its cold .

grandsport 02-01-2013 07:45 PM

I hate winter.

carpoor 02-01-2013 08:08 PM

Cold, windy, and overall miserable... typical February weather in Florida. Pissed, missing out on a side job tomorrow because of the cold. It's not everyday that I have the chance to make $150 in four hours.

BillsCamino 02-01-2013 08:49 PM

Sunny and warm here in Louisiana today...same for tomorrow. Should be great weather for the 1st of this season's Mardi Gras parade tomorrow night.

69chevelless 02-08-2013 09:15 AM

We are about to get one of the biggest snow storms in the century they are saying on the news. Just about all the schools are closed in the state and we are expected to get 2ft plus of snow. It's like the blizzard of 78 all over again! The governor wants everybody home by noon so I need to get goin. The towns have been looking pretty crazy in the last day, cars everywhere and people acting like the worlds gonna end getting all there gas and groceries. In the end it's just a snowstorm blizzard and we will all be fine. I hope my son will be able to plow it all with my quad.

shadowgray396 02-08-2013 05:08 PM

I have been hearing that winter has arrived. Looks like it's going to skip us this year. Sunny and 50° and no rain for the next week or so, just sun balls.

Ms Grumpy 02-08-2013 05:47 PM

Well the snow hit us last night, or that is what the news said. School was cancelled, I know because at 5am our phone rang with a recorded message that there was no school. So we got 4-5", it was not really a lot of snow. My son was out at 7am shoveling and at 11am he looked outside and was bummed that he would have to shovel again. I had to laugh. So we survived this, I just hope that the people in New York fare just as well, my daughter Lacie being one of them. The snow is expected to reach a upwards of 24".

I hope everyone survives this storm unscathed.

BillsCamino 02-08-2013 06:44 PM

That's not snow.

It's NE Patriot fan's frozen tears........no Super Bowl appearance.....

shadowgray396 02-09-2013 08:56 AM

Wondering how everyone is doing with all the snow, I realize you many not have power at this time.

Fixed it for you Bill. ;)

Ms Grumpy 02-09-2013 06:55 PM

Haven't heard from my daughter in Brooklyn, NY. I did see a couple pics and from what I saw it looks like less than a foot.

BillsCamino 02-10-2013 09:56 AM

Crap...
I've got to go to Buffalo on Tuesday/Wednesday. Bro-in-law passed.
Man, I HATE snow!!!!!

shadowgray396 02-10-2013 11:06 AM

Sorry to hear about you brother inlaw. Maybe the snow will be cleaned up or at least the roads driveable.

Forecast there is calling for rain tomorrow (Monday) and more snow on Tuesday.
Just lovely....

flash 02-10-2013 12:04 PM

Sorry to hear about your brother in law ,travel safe .

Ms Grumpy 02-10-2013 05:45 PM

Sorry for your loss Bill. Please be safe on the roads. If the weather is calling for rain, hopefully the weather will be warm enough for some of that snow to melt. Just be careful for the black ice as the temp drops.

shadowgray396 02-15-2013 06:02 PM

Sunny and 65° today. For some reason we are getting some really nice weather. Not complaining one bit.

flash 02-15-2013 07:25 PM

It was sunny and warm here today too.

Ms Grumpy 02-15-2013 07:36 PM

Mid 30's, nice day, here today. Tomorrow we might get an inch of snow, maybe enough to take the kids sledding again.

shadowgray396 02-17-2013 07:16 PM

Hard to believe I mowed the lawns today. Mid 50's today

flash 02-18-2013 11:20 AM

Its sunny here again today with a projected high of 60 but the wind is also whipping pretty good but thats OK .Saturday and Sunday were windy and cold ,Im ready for spring.

flash 02-18-2013 06:10 PM

After work today it was sunny and warm so I got the tractor out and cleaned up all the brush from where I trimmed the lower limbs off our Bradford Pear trees .Now hopefully I can mow the grass without getting my hat knocked off .I cant wait til grass mowing time .

Really ? (while shaking my head)

carpoor 02-18-2013 07:13 PM

Thirty freakin' degrees this morning when I left for work! (around 5:30am) Warmed up nicely to about 66* later in the day. It should be high 70s to low 80s again in a few days.

shadowgray396 02-22-2013 12:39 AM

Winter returned in the mountains. Looks like 2 feet will fall over the weekend. Rain for the next week in the lower elevations and in the 40's

earthquake68 02-22-2013 06:23 AM

It's hard to believe this thread is over a year old. It was fun to go back through and see what the weather was like all year. We just had an ice storm yesterday, so I stayed in the garage and worked on the Chevelle all day and into the night. ....It was a good day. :D

It's always a sunny day when you can spend the day in the garage working on your car.
