Heavy Chevy. If you run out of options, let me know. I could probably make you a set.
Cort, ...That wagon is gonna be wicked cool. I really like it! |

Earthquake68, thanks for the offer but mine weren't as bad as I thought. One of them had one of the legs broken off but I was able to clean it up and glue it back together. Luckily I was able to order the plastic retainers that the legs fit into, since a couple of mine were broken.

I got the deck lid back on the car and the filler panel adjusted so the gap is nice around the trunk.

I'm waiting until the election is over before I do anything else.

Why wait? The election shouldn't matter what kind of car you build. If it does, then our country is in serious trouble! Just be smart about parts you buy. Buy used, swap meet finds, materials for larger projects that are labor intensive, (such as sheet metal or body filler) and just pick away at it. With the wheeling and dealing I've done for my Chevelle, I only have about $5K invested so far. (including purchase price) I think I can finish it the way I want to for another $1,500 if I play my cards right.

Well, it helps I fabricate all my sheet metal parts. A 4'X8' sheet of 18 gauge sheet metal is $40. I made all the patches I needed with half a sheet. A gallon of filler was given to me by a friend. So I have less than $150 in ALL of the body and metal work.
Rockauto.com has screamin' deals on parts, too. Name brand stuff for 1/3 the cost of the Chinese stuff you get at O'Reily's. |
Hey,my line sounds good when you are too lazy to do anything.:p
