My car did not come with a wiper motor or I miss placed it. I ordered a new one for my year.
Its looking like I have everything I would need to assemble the concealed styles wiper system. Only think my pin is missing that anchors the secondary bracket on the drivers side wiper transmission. See the hole were it should be.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/11/26/4unugaru.jpg

If I had one it would be yours for free ,you might contact James Hinshaw as he may have one in his vast stash of old parts.

smokenjoep01 11-26-2013 10:31 AM

I need to figure out something quick. Heavy rain has moved in the area and will stay for a couple days. That means I cant drive the Chevelle. Im gonna go nuts. I went through half tank of gas cruising. Its like when I first got a license. Looking for any excuse to drive.

I had one made at work and the first time I used it it bent. I ended up getting one on eBay. I maybe able to check tomorrow as I'm in the process of getting ready for winter.

smokenjoep01 12-03-2013 09:16 PM

Had to fill the tank on the way home. Looks like about 11.5 mpg
When the needle hits E, you best pull over and fill it up.
No rain. Sunny and high 60's. Suppose to be in the 80's Friday and Sat

Im having problems with the aftermarket shift rod I used when converting to th350 from powerglide. From column to the trans.
Its flexing and not getting it done. I would love to find a stock rod assembly for a column shift TH350
Anybody have anything?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

carpoor 12-04-2013 07:29 PM

11.5 MPG? I was getting 14.5-15 city, and 17-18 highway with my Monte Carlo. Me thinks it needs some more fine tuning.

smokenjoep01 12-05-2013 10:35 AM

Was that with a Holley 4 barrel? Im still gonna get it on my buddy's dyno and tweak it when I get about 500 miles

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

carpoor 12-05-2013 11:00 AM

It was a stock rebuilt 350, small cam, rebuilt 4bbl QJet, stock intake manifold, mid length headers, 2.5 mandrel bent duals. TH350, 2000 RPM converter, factory 12 bolt rear with 2.73 gears. Not to mention it was over 4000lbs.

smokenjoep01 12-07-2013 03:24 PM

I got the wiper trans yesterday. Thanks Ray. Going to try and get them installed tomorrow. Rain has moved back in.
Cars running great. Been going everywhere with it. Its been my daily driver. Thanks again yall for all the help, advice, info, parts.

Got all the wiper parts in today. Just need to wire it up.
Also got my new shocks in the rear. Then removed the front coils and cut 2 coils off. It dropped it quite a bit. But it handles better than ever. Slightly harsh on big potholes/bumps. Nothing rubs. But ground to header clearance is just a couple inches. Need to go slow over speed bumps!

Need wiper motor wiring help. What I have is not coinciding with what my diagram has. Or so I think?http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/12/09/4ajusamu.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/12/09/saru8a5a.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/12/09/eha3amem.jpg

Don't forget those coils will sag with age. It's going to be real low.

You would figure. But the rear are original and are still holding strong! We will see how long it takes to grind down my header flanges:)
Got the wipers installed, wired and working !!!! Thanks again Ray ;)
Now what I need is a picture of the windshield washer squirter location on a cowl induction hood. Who has some good photos for this big dummy?

You can see mine here, might have to zoom in to see exactly where they are. I currently have a domed hood like on your car.

shadowgray396 12-09-2013 09:03 PM

Your welcome, also the squirters for a cowl hood and a flat hood are not the same. Make sure you have the correct ones. The cowl hoods squirters are longer.

Did a review of this all the post in this thread today. Wow, I forgot all the work you have done to get it to this point. You should be very proud of all the work you have accomplished on this build. My hats off to you. :ntwrthy::banana:
