Hank, don't forget that that sun is very extreme this year.

Hank I have to ask if you got a call from DTE thanking you for your patience with the power outage. We did and we never lost power.

It was pretty muggy today, and of course I decided to do some yard work. I had my grand daughter here and she was so full of energy I had to try to find someway to wear her out. But an 8 yr old has endless energy. She wore me out after having her for 4 days this grandma is tuckered.

No call from DTE, just glad they got the power back on. Seriously looking at a Honeywell 15KW automatic standby generator at Costco. $3,500. Have to find out what installation would cost but I'm considering it. We lose power too often and the small portable generator is getting to be a pain.

Hank, I would love to have a generator like you are thinking about getting ,we have one on campus here for the presidents home and it seems to do a great job when needed .

Looks like the east half of the US will have unseasonable cool weather next week and the west coast is expect to be around 100. It's called the Polar Vortex. Our heat wave starts Friday and will run for the next week.

Our weather has been better lately ,hot but with much less rain ,I like it.

I'd love one too. The people behind us have one, Two neighbors across the side street have them. Guy around the corner just ordered one and there are others scattered around the neighborhood. The portable generator does the job, if you have gas. Hard to keep the 5 gallon jugs full when you have to cut the grass every 4-5 days. Going out to fill it and hook it up in the rain or a foot of snow isn't a lot of fun either.

We were supposed to get nailed with a hell of a storm during the night last night..........didn't happen. All we ended up with was just a shower. Today was supposed to be that same storm.....dry and just overcast.........oh well not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth.
