Instead of Grade 8, have you looked for Chromoly? ARP, Fastenal, I don't know who all might have them. (haven't even come close to that area on my chevelle yet.) Anytime I need bolts for cars, I always look for the Chromolly replacements, unless it is something I need right away.

Finally decided to push everything else aside and work on my car for the first time in months. Got underneath and started doing all of my touch ups. (Had a few minor scrapes from the engine install last year)

I am currently taking a break from looking for my steering box bolts. They seem to have grown legs and walked off.

BOO YAH! Found them! Steering box is in, and so is the center link, etc.

It feels great to have gotten something done on this car. Next up on deck, detail front shocks, install front shocks, install front sway bar and hardware.

Uncovered the car to take to a car show on Saturday. Time to put some fresh gas in it and take it for spin to the alignment shop.

Thanks Ray, everything is painted vs. boe-shield. I know it isn't 100% correct. But, I intend to drive this car often, and in all weather conditions. I refuse to not drive it because it might rain.

I love people who drive their cars. If the car is all original or rare I can understand not driving it everywhere. But why put all the time, sweat and money into something that you can't drive. Sorry, just my opinion.

Kind of my reasoning behind having "tribute" cars. Not afraid to drive them or beat on them. To most, they're not real. But, I beg to differ.
