That going to be a nice set up.

Ms Grumpy 05-24-2012 10:58 PM

I can't wait Ray. Had the a/c hoses crimped yesterday. The holiday weekend might make it hard if I end up needing anything. I still need to find a shop to empty the a/c compressor and fill it.

SS Shaun 05-25-2012 10:00 AM

going to go pick up 75% of my rear brakes today ordered them from napa lastnight. next pay get the 25% and new shocks and the rear is complete!

fleming23 05-25-2012 10:01 AM

Mine is loaded on the trailer and on its way back to the house! Hopefully go get the A/C charged (& leak tested) tomorrow and do some driving this weekend!!!

grandsport 05-25-2012 05:11 PM

Nancy, you are really spending the coin on your car! Sweet.

flash 05-25-2012 07:58 PM

I did nothing on ours again today ,my back is hurt and Joan threatened my life if I mis behaved and hurt it worse so I went to visit my truck instead .

I think I have earned it. Besides the fact that I have been saving for a long time to be able to do it. If I had a vehicle that could tow a trailer, then I would have considered a trailer. But, since I want to be able to drive my car everywhere, I think that investing the cash is what makes sense. I have had my car for 14 years and this will be the first year that I can do anything I want. I think I have earned it. :)

flash 05-25-2012 10:57 PM

And you deserve it .

Ms Grumpy 05-26-2012 09:09 AM

Thanks flash, and maybe someday we will be able to do one of your road trips with you and Chuck.

shadowgray396 05-26-2012 09:30 AM

Car gets to sit for a couple of days and Wednesday I'm moving it to a friends shop and motor is going back in on Thursday. It can't get here fast enough.

Sorry if my post offended you.It was meant to be a positive response.

Ms Grumpy 05-26-2012 05:36 PM

Gary,
I have had a lot of people questioning me on why I would put money into my car in this economy. I really didn't take it wrong, I think I just needed to say, out loud, why I am putting in the A/C and EFI.

We all save for that "special" motor, trans, interior, etc. I thought it was my turn to share what I had "saved" for. Besides that, I am so excited, and lucky to be able to do these things now. I would say that I am done, but we all know that is never true when you own cars like we do.

Still love ya grandsport....

grandsport 05-26-2012 05:47 PM

I was happy for you.Spend away and screw the naysayers.Life is too short, that is why I try to live for the moment.

flash 05-26-2012 08:24 PM

Had to laugh at that one. I guess I will never retire since my job now consists of being on the computer. It is nice because I can take my job with me where ever I go. But then again it is not nice because I can take my job with me where ever I go. I had managed restaurants for over 25 years, working 65+ hours a week, and I don't know how I survived that. But I will tell you that working like I did has taken a huge toll on my body.

But I can still drive my car...and that makes life worth while.

Oh yeah, since this is the what have you done to your Chevelle today thread. I have done nothing...

grandsport 05-27-2012 07:38 PM

I took pictures of him and his little brother today, but I am having problems posting them.

flash 05-29-2012 08:31 AM

I decided it was time to get the Elky out and drive her to work and charge the A/C at lunch.

Put them into a "Photo Album" on your profile page. Then copy and paste the BB code right into the "message" and the picture will show up big. If you can't upload them into the photo album, that usually means that they are too large and need to be sized down. Hope I helped. By the way, if you put pics in your album here, you can still copy and paste the BB code into other forums that use V-Bulletin. Just thought you might like to know.

Ms Grumpy 05-29-2012 07:56 PM

What did I do to my car today ? I actually drove by my brothers garage, but didn't stop...busy day.

flash 05-29-2012 08:25 PM

I had to put the El Camino back in the shop so that I could start mowing the yard after I went and bought a barn truck.

shadowgray396 05-30-2012 08:36 AM

Moving the Chevelle this afternoon to put the motor in tomorrow.

SS Shaun 05-30-2012 11:32 AM

i need to clean around my chevelle just so i can get to it..lol

shadowgray396 05-30-2012 06:14 PM

I'm bummed, Motor got delayed a week. Ready to move car today and was told to hold for a week.

flash 05-30-2012 09:12 PM

Ray ,that stinks.

grandsport 05-30-2012 10:39 PM

Stinks and wife are two words that should never be used in the same setence.Especially when speaking to the affore mentioned wife. Is this on topic?

Just like your truck Flash, you expect things to get done and other people don't seem to have the same priorities. Been told he would be ready and took in a couple more cars to fix ahead of me. It's a friends shop but was going to be able to use it for the weekend to get my motor in. Looks like next weekend now.

flash 05-31-2012 07:36 PM

I didnt even have time to visit my shop today to see the chevelle and Elky much less do anything .

shadowgray396 05-31-2012 11:22 PM

Took over some brackets for the motor today, was going to work on it for a while, but my friend had family over so did get a chance to put them back on. Picked up a neww throttle cable, new heater switch, under the dash light wiring harness and a few odds and ends I needed.

carpoor 06-05-2012 11:05 AM

Finally have a day off, and pretty much told everyone to leave me alone. I haven't had any time for my car, VERY irritating. I managed to press the new bushings into the lower control arms, then paint them. We'll see what I am able to get done after lunch.

flash 06-05-2012 06:10 PM

That looks good ,I have yet to do anything with our chevelle today but will get her packed and ready for Chevellabration in a little while.

carpoor 06-05-2012 08:31 PM

The finished product... I unmasked them and installed the new bump stops.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...86/72LS5dd.jpg

I started to apply paint stripper to the last upper control arm, and it started to rain. So, my day was ended early due to weather. :( I work a long day tomorrow, so I highly doubt anything more will get done.

shadowgray396 06-06-2012 11:01 PM

Went over to the shop today and put a few items back on it getting ready for installation

I'm thinking it has the wrong top power steering bracket on it.

flash 06-06-2012 11:48 PM

We are now completely packed and gassed up and ready to head to Nashville bright and early in the morning with the top down. It will be in the mid 50's tonight and in the morning but were going topless anyway ,cant wait to get there.

69chevelless 06-07-2012 05:11 AM

Mine got painted yesterday and it should be in my buddies garage by tomorrow to get put back together.
