Got the gas tank ready to install today

Ms Grumpy 06-18-2012 06:00 PM

You are getting there Ray. Checking out your garage, I wish I had a little bit of your space.

flash 06-18-2012 07:54 PM

I didnt even go to my shop today ,too tired.

shadowgray396 06-18-2012 08:30 PM

Still waiting for parts to arrive, like a engine wiring harness. Hope it gets here tomorrow.

flash 06-19-2012 06:20 AM

I cant wait to see your car finished ,it is a Beauty.

69chevelless 06-19-2012 08:23 AM

I'm going to check out my car at my friends house today. I talked to him yesterday and he said he got a lot more done. Gotta try and post pics today of how much he got done on Saturday.

Ms Grumpy 06-19-2012 09:04 PM

I opened my garage door...does that count ?

shadowgray396 06-19-2012 09:31 PM

Still waiting, I even payed for 3 day delivery, and nothing yet.

carpoor 06-19-2012 09:32 PM

Spent most of the day cleaning and preping parts. No matter how much I get done, my pile seems to stay the same size.

flash 06-19-2012 10:46 PM

I changed the plug wires on the old 74 chevy truck but did not make it out to see the Chevelle.

Ms Grumpy 06-20-2012 09:08 PM

I am so mad, I have had the car back for over a week and haven't had anytime to take her out. I need to do some major cleaning, but at this point I just want to drive it, I don't care if it is dirty. Is that bad ??

grandsport 06-20-2012 09:14 PM

40 lashes for you.

flash 06-20-2012 10:16 PM

I moved ours out of the shop today after work so I could work on my lawn mower and then one of the boys needed several things repaired on his car too. Its still dirty from Chevellabration but if we get a chance maybe sunday we can cruise her somewhere .

shadowgray396 06-21-2012 12:23 AM

Got all my parts today, so time to get everything put on tomorrow. Should be able to bring the car home on friday to finish putting the inner fender wells in and the front bumper back on.

flash 06-21-2012 08:41 AM

Good for you Ray ,its been a long process .Cant wait for you to take her for its first drive after all this time.

69chevelless 06-21-2012 08:52 AM

I'm gonna try to get that damn door jamb windlace in.

flash 06-22-2012 09:17 PM

So ,how did the new A/C work.

shadowgray396 06-22-2012 11:53 PM

Got about half the punch list done, luckly I have saturday to work on it some more.

shadowgray396 06-23-2012 11:05 PM

New wiring harness to install Done
Inner fender wells (Right one installed)
Front bumper No
Battery cables No
Clutch adjusted (Linkage is biding up and not working smoothly)
Reverse lockout linkage to hook up Done
Driveline installed Done
Install the original caliphers-Bleed all brakes Done
Gas tank to install Done
Fire up the motor (not yet)

Been working through some issues today for installing the inner fender wells. Looks like my grille support bracket is bent and will not allow my lower valance to mount up correctly so I can put the front bumper on. What a pain to put the dust shields on the inner fender wells, If anyone has a trick let me know.

Honestly, about the same as before

1st gear was still getting it done today though

Guess it is time for a 4L80E now...

carpoor 06-24-2012 07:05 PM

Looks great Ray, I guess you are going kind of "resto mod" with chrome stuff under the hood?

The weather sucks here, we are in the middle of a tropical storm. No sign of it letting up until Wednesday at the earliest.

flash 06-24-2012 08:18 PM

I think Rays is all stock but he will let us know for sure.

69chevelless 06-24-2012 09:53 PM

It doesn't look very resto moded to me but it looks great to me! I just don't really care for the chrome radiator cover.

[QUOTE=carpoor;36340]Looks great Ray, I guess you are going kind of "resto mod" with chrome stuff under the hood?

The Radiator Top Panel and the Fender Tie Brace should be black, the previous owner chromed them. I have some original ones I need to paint them black yet, but for now the chrome ones will stay on so I can drive it this summer. The valve covers are correct for the car.

Ms Grumpy 06-24-2012 10:40 PM

Looking good Ray. Love watching the progress.

Ms Grumpy 06-24-2012 10:41 PM

Went to my first cruise this year today.

I knew the valve covers were correct. The other parts were what I was referring to. They threw me off, everything else was restored back to original.

SS Shaun 06-25-2012 08:28 AM
