It runs! Have a fuel leak on both ends of the carb to pump line. (despite being tight) The tach wasn't working, just resolved that. And the key switch has issues... I will have to swap in the switch from the non tilt column out of the car.

Just the same... HUGE relief!

Congrat, always go to hear them run.

I thought I would be more excited to be honest. I feel more relief than anything.

I also did some work to the hood of my 69' Chevelle. It's an aftermarket "made in Taiwan" piece that came with the car. It was low in the center. I adjusted the latch as much as I could. Then I had to cut the spot welds on the face of the hood. It fits great now, and saves me some money on the project.

I did the dash today got it ready for primer. Metal treated the back after I sanded it. I will spray it inside next time I work on it. Cleaned the interior with a bucket and water under the dash. Getting the dust gone. Spent most of the day cleaning and looking it over. I making progress.

I had a endless stream of visitors today. I told somebody the bodywork was done finally. All my friends were taking turns stopping by to gawk. They seen this car since it was a pile of rust in the driveway.

My buddy with the 72 chevelle was here he put half quarters on it. He kinda antsy because he knows I am not doing bodywork on his till mine past this stage. He getting new front fenders for it soon to. I keep telling him to get a cowl hood or I won't paint it. He paid 200 bucks for that car 25 years ago wrecked from a kid. fixed the front end and drove it every since. But father time has been taking its toll on it. And seeing me and my brother restoring our cars kinda put him in the mood he better do something. These things are not cheap anymore. It is like they say about divorce, these old cars now. It cheaper to keep her.

While you're waiting for those maybe you could change the intake manifold gaskets on mine. I'm kind of busy down here in Fl. Lot of beer to drink, cooking on the grill, you know how it is.

No problem, I'll stop on my home home tomorrow with my tube of JB weld, it should take me about 5 min.
