Shaun...get the right ones the first time. Even if it takes a little longer, because of the budget, it is worth the wait.

Thats a tough one. I had the same dilemma so what I did was I bought new seat covers for my K5 Blazer (which needed them) and then took the old ones and ran them through the washing machine and then let them dry and used them on the Chevelle for now until I get them rebuilt. I figured since my car needs new foam, seat covers, chrome plastic trim, headrest covers etc... I'd just use the ones from the truck that weren't so bad so I wouldn't be spending the money twice. I'm also on a very tight budget so I know where you are coming from. It would be easy for me to spend your money for you and say go for the seat restoration but in a position like that I'd rather see the money go towards brakes, fuel and electrical. Once the car is on the road and running and driving you can re-cover the seats.

yeah berg i am with you i am going to ask around if anyone has some seat covers that i can barrow for a while if not 45 bucks is not to big of a price to pay because when i am done with them i will put them in my magnum since my seats are starting to get a little rough from getting all my parts for my chevelle....lol

Well ya didn't say that in your original post. lol If you would be reusing them, then yes take the cheaper ones til you can afford the ones you want.
