After being married for 33 years,we have had a few bumps in the road like everyone else, but dealing with this has been the worst.

Kendall is 23 years old. She was diagnosed when she was only hours old.
The doctors told us she probably would not live past her teens. Well the fight in her and the support of the rest of our family has prooved all of them to be wrong. It has been a very expensive and emotional 23 years, but in a weird way I think it made all of us stronger. Three years ago she got married and also made us grandparents. She now works for me at our shop. We decided that would work out good for her because she has been let go from other jobs in the past for missing time due to illness.

Again your daughter, yourself, and your wife are in our prayers.

My sister sons has cystic fibrosis too, and the doctors said he also would not live past his teens. He is now 33 so I hope this gives you some hope. Like you said a support system in our family has got him through and advances in the disease has helped. MS also runs in our family so it looks like we are all dealing with some of the same issues. A support team is what gets us through the rough days.

When I originally learned about the problems with Lindsay it was because of a conversation you and I had about David and his problems with his neck and back. In the time since then both David and Lindsay have had surgery. I have only had to go through this with David for the past 3 years and I know the pain and stress that it has put on everyone.

But I also know, as does everyone else here that reads your posts about your family, that you have a close loving family. It also sounds like the communication is great as well, especially when it comes to Lindsay's health.

It is not easy but don't let the negativity work itself into your thoughts. Positive thoughts only. It has been a year for David and it is only 70% healed and I am not giving up that it will get better. Lindsay will improve, I just know she will. I will always keep positive thoughts for her, as will everyone else here. And you will always have a place here to tell us how you feel, the good the bad and the ugly...vent away. You are a part of our family and we will always be here for you.

Gary, maybe the guys at work have their own set of problems which gives the appearance of "blowing off" your situation, a situation which just might seem to be a normal occurence in some of their lives. Just sumthing to think about.
