I would take the job because it will be very hard to ever find another one. It depends if your old though or young. I just laid off 7 of my employees a few weeks ago. Some I've had with me for 8 years but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I know at times I wish my wife worked outside of the home, but having her home is nice. Good luck on what ever you decide.

I'm not greedy...I'd love to share the joy and happiness of having to get up at 4 AM every weekday. ;)

Slacker ???? lol

Running these websites is a 24/7 job. This site is still small. Audiokarma, our largest site has over 120,000 members. And that is because we have put the time into it, and built it to what it is today. Someday I hope to have Chevelleforum there, or should I say it will be there !

At dinner last night I asked my girls, 11 and 14, what they thought about mommy going back to work. My 11 year old said "Yeah....more money to buy us stuff" (yeah, like that's gonna happen), my 14 year old said "No...you and daddy don't argue as much since you don't work that job anymore".

Saw my brother this morning and he just had this "I don't know what to tell you" look on his face. He seemed to think that it was not a good idea.

I am really only considering taking the job because of the cost of health insurance. I am leaning toward not taking the job. I still am not 100% sure. As soon as I am, I will post my decision. I have to say thank you to everyone for giving me great things to think about.

If you are comfortable where you are, don't take the job. I see lots more stress being put on you. You don't need that. The time that you will have to spend away from the family will never be replaced. It sounds like you already have a full time job keeping the sites going. The kids are pretty observant too, with the less fighting comment. After typing this out, I now say STAY HOME!!!!

I know that over the past year my relationship with David has gotten stronger. Heck I don't think that we ever talked this much in the 14 years we have been married. Partly because I worked from 4am - 4 or 5pm, 5 or 6 days a week. Running a restaurant is a very time consuming job, and if someone does not show up, you gotta go in.

I can't think of more than one reason to go back. So I think that my decision has been made. I am gonna stay home and make this the best damn site out there.

Glad to hear you made up your mind. Your girls will be the ones who will gain the most by having Mom home. I know my kids did by having my wife home for them.

I think that you made the right choice. Good luck.
